Systemic Sphere strengthens team with seven new hires

Angela Lucas, Alexandre Vieira de Almeida and five new senior consultants join Systemic Sphere.

Systemic Sphere has strengthened its team with seven new hires. Angela Lucas has taken on the role of Executive Partner, Alexandre Vieira de Almeida has been appointed Executive Director, and Ana Catarina Dias, Dayane Martins Salles, Leonor Sales, Silvia Amaral and Sofia Lewis Lopes have joined as senior consultants, forming a multidisciplinary team that covers different areas of sustainability consulting. These appointments reflect Systemic Sphere’s commitment to establishing itself as a reference in the sector, combining diverse perspectives and professional backgrounds.

Angela Lucas is a consultant and researcher at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics – Center for Responsible Business & Leadership, working in the areas of Sustainability, ESG, Environment and Climate. She is part of the team of the Observatory on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Portuguese Companies and is a founding partner and executive director of the forest fund LAND – Life and Nature Development Fund. She also served as advisor and deputy chief of staff to the Minister for the Environment and Climate Action of the XXII Portuguese Government.

Alexandre Vieira de Almeida holds a degree in Management from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, a postgraduate qualification in Strategic Marketing Planning from Michigan University (USA) and an MBA from Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Lisbon. He has extensive experience in management, business administration and strategic marketing. Throughout his professional career, he has held positions as Marketing Director at Central de Cervejas, board member of APAN – Portuguese Advertisers Association, and of ANIRSF – National Association of Soft Drinks and Fruit Juice Manufacturers.

Ana Catarina Dias worked as a sustainability consultant at WSP in the United Kingdom and has extensive experience in sustainability reporting and greenhouse gases, including quantification, management and the development of decarbonisation strategies aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative.

Dayane Martins Salles is a sustainability specialist with more than 10 years of experience in project coordination, applied research and strategic consulting, with a focus on sustainable practices in organisations, environmental governance and ESG controversies.

Leonor Sales is an economist with more than 12 years of experience in international development, having worked in the fields of climate finance, climate policies and funds, trade and development, in the African context. She has professional experience at the African Development Bank, within the Climate Change and Green Growth department.

Silvia Amaral is an environmental engineer with six years of experience in engineering and sustainability. Her work focuses on climate risk assessment and management, non-financial disclosures, climate transition strategies, ESG performance monitoring, sustainable finance, and environmental project assessment, both in corporate environments and in the banking sector.

Sofia Lewis Lopes has more than 10 years of experience and works at the intersection of engineering, sustainability, renewable energy, and finance, supporting organisations in strategy definition.
